Along with enriching our community, fundraising helps our organization expand our reach. By raising more money, we are able to invest in new programs, resources, and connect with more individuals in need of support. Over the past four years The ATIR Community and Douglas County District Attorney's Office donated over $10,000 to our local Domestic Violence organizations. We understand that psychological abuse is just as detrimental as physical abuse. We will continue our mission of keeping our communities mentally and emotionally well.
We have so many exciting plans for our community this year.
Stay tuned!
✨ New Series Announcement: In the Gap ✨
Standing where justice, empathy, and action meet. Advocacy work is powerful—but it’s also costly.
Advocates often stand in the gaps left by broken systems. And while we fight for others, the toll on our emotional and physical wellbeing can go unseen and unsupported.
That’s why I’m continuing a weekly series called “In the Gap,” through ATIR Community, where we explore the realities of advocacy work—and how we can care for the people who do it.
Each week, I’ll be sharing:
🔹 Reflective prompts 🔹 Stories and resources around compassion fatigue, burnout, rest, and resilience 🔹 Tools for sustainable advocacy 🔹 Ways we can move from individual survival to collective care.
If you care about justice, healing, and building systems of support for those who serve, I’d love for you to join the conversation.
👉 Follow along on LinkedIn and connect with me for weekly content and community-building around holistic advocate wellbeing.
Let’s normalize rest. Let’s name the emotional cost.
Let’s stand in the gap—together.

Each year The ATIR Community hosts a run, walk, bike mile game challenge broken up into two 'seasons'. This is a fun way to motivate communities to simply, move.
This season we have three teams of 5 players. Each week teams submit their weekly miles. The goal is to see which team can accumulate the most miles in a eighteen week time frame. The winner "walks" away with a nice prize.

Amid COVID-19 and the exposure of chronic racial injustices, The ATIR Community has responded to the moment by creating a virtual wellness community. The Wellness Community is a healing safe space of “mindful movement”. Being part of a community can have a positive effect on mental health and emotional wellbeing. Community involvement provides a sense of belonging and social connectedness. It can also offer extra meaning and purpose to everyday life.
