Each year The ATIR Community hosts a run, walk, bike mile game challenge. This is a fun way to motivate communities to simply, move. This year we have two teams of 10 players. Each week teams submit their weekly miles. The goal is to see which team can accumulate the most miles in a six month time frame. The winner "walks" away with a nice prize. Want to play or simply donate miles? Join the ATIR Wellness Community on Facebook!

Along with enriching our community, fundraising helps our organization expand our reach. By raising more money, we are able to invest in new programs, resources, and connect with more individuals in need of support. Over the past four years The ATIR Community and Douglas County District Attorney's Office donated over $10,000 to our local Domestic Violence organizations. We understand that psychological abuse is just as detrimental as physical abuse. We will continue our mission of keeping our communities mentally and emotionally well.
We have so many exciting plans for our community this year.
Stay tuned!
The ATIR Community works hard to engage and educate communities on evidence base, trauma informed wellness practices. Staying healthy has never been so important as the need to remain in good emotional health can have a positive effect on almost every aspect of our lives.
Amid COVID-19 and the exposure of chronic racial injustices, The ATIR Community has responded to the moment by creating a virtual wellness community. The Wellness Community is a healing safe space of “mindful movement”. Being part of a community can have a positive effect on mental health and emotional wellbeing. Community involvement provides a sense of belonging and social connectedness. It can also offer extra meaning and purpose to everyday life.
